ST. GEORGE, NYMET ST. GEORGE (GEORGE NYMPTON)
The delightful historic church of St George is part of the ecclesiastical parish of South Molton with Nymet St George. We have services every Sunday (at 9.30am) as well as occasional 'special' services. We are part of a lively village community and you will find us friendly and welcoming.
The church was originally built in the 15th C. but was restored and partially rebuilt in 1882. The tower was built in 1673, but it is unclear what this replaced, however it is understood that there were late 16th C.bells in existence. The restoration of 1882 was in the Perpendicular style to match the existing medieval fabric.
A detailed description of the architecture can be found on the British Listed Buildings website.
